I'd say the sense of grotesquely unreasonable entitlement is a surprise, but it's really not. Especially not in 2021. Continue malding, Karen.

I just bought the game, 6000 queue. Waited 45 minutes, 4400 queue, yeah, I won't be able to play tonight.
I agree completly, when i get home (i work in a distribution depot which during christmas is a nightmare due to how busy christmas rush makes us) i have about 3 hours which i can play, i have been sitting in the queue for 40minutes and it has gone down from 5100 to 3700. That works out at the queue going down by 35 per minute at this rate it will take another 1h 45 minutes to get logged in, add onto that the 40mins i have been waiting so far that brings it up to 2 hour 25mins total to get logged in.OP's post is a bit melodramatic. Overall though, I agree.
It was to be expected unfortunately. Shadowbringers brought in alot of new players and Endwalker is just the cherry on top.
Currently on my server, Spriggan, even around 9 PM you hit about 5000 players sitting in queue. All the excitement I had is gone by now. I'll still enjoy the expansion but it's a bummer indeed.
For the drones that defend this unfortunate situation, keep in mind people have families and work, they don't have the time to dedicate their daily lives to logging in before peak time. You may be aware of a wound, but the realization it will close doesn't ease the pain in the slightest.
So that gives me about half an hour i can actually play today. Now add onto that that i am currently working until sunday, then have monday off then working again until friday. That means out of the next ten days (including today) i can only actually get any real play time one 1 of them days, the other 9 i will get half an hour, maybe an hour if i am lucky.
After a frustrating day at work getting home and waiting on a countdown is not fun at all. I understand that issues happen but all those saying well you should have expected this, or i manage to play fine, try to understand that there are two sides to every coin. If you can login outside peak times then good for you you can get on in reasonable time and just stay logged in. But not all of us can do that and have been left with a really bitter taste from the fact that we have paid for the game and paid for the sub and due to the time we are capable of logging on we can hardly play. I mean i paid for 60 days of sub time and for the next 10 days i can only really play on one of them due to them issues, that is 9 days of paid sub that i cannot play.
I'm not asking for a refund or demanding they fix this now or else. Just saying before you jump on to call people like us out consider that our situations are not the same as yours and we are in fact being serverly limited and loosing out on what we have paid for due to circumstances beyond out control, and as such we are annoyed or disapointed or angry, you cannot blame us for that, if you were in my situation and only had 3 hours to play after work and had to spend 2.5 hours waiting you'd be speaking like we are instead of calling us out for complaining, you may say you wouldn't be but uyou would, it's human nature to speak out in this kinda situation
I think you need to take a chill pill, Karen. For the few minority that're crying and moaning about queue times, many more understand that it's going to happen with a big expansion, especially with the amount of players not only FFXIV streamers bring in, but the ever growing number of WoW refugees.
But hey, keep not accepting apologies and sniveling at Square/in the forums. I'm sure you'll get a Manager soon enough to appease your unreasonable ego.
i have been playing this game since version 1 and still also i didnt play during early access because i stuck in 9k -7k queue for hours i understand how people are mad about this... some dont have enough time to wait to login and enjoy the game but honestly i cant be mad at Yoshi-p this man did great job
I support you and your ability to share your opinions and experience. I will not ridicule you or mock you or call you names. Cuz I’m a decent human being.
true, but calling community "trash" isn't better. to be honest, rage over communities and dev not going make game be fixed faster, but i agree with you, everyone should be respectful to players here cause behind an avatar there's a person with feelings.

Pretty much mostly this. ^ I'm all well and good for somebody expressing their opinions and experiences. Freedom of speech and all that. But in that same capacity, if someone's going to act like an entitled snot, take shots at any given community and behave like a spoiled, silver-spoon fed child while not showing a hint of tact or consideration; they better expect to get shot right back at quite a bit. Also, Karen is pretty accurate. Everyone and their mothers know it's a meme/term to describe someone with an over-inflated sense of being owed the world and then some. You'd honestly think some of the white knights would prefer it being used as opposed to the PLETHORA of derogatory and vulgar terms out there. But n'ah, gotta thought police everybody and have everyone walk on textual glass and behave like a yes-man. Simply being a person with feelings doesn't exclude one from getting textually/verbally dunked on if they behave in a way that warrants such dunking.
ok but ........
im scrolling
im still scrolling
