at least wow crashing as hard as it did couldn't have been anticipated even a year ago, given that blizz really worked hard to tank as hard as they did, like shit i'm not sure how one company can pull so many fuckups in half a year.

yes, square did miss properly preparing for the case that the perfect storm aligns as it did, people in these threads however dismiss even the possibility of "covid is at least partially making the situation worse than it would be otherwise" by arguing that square could just have upgraded years ago, and that notion is just crazy from a business perspective.
