Deal with it or don't.
It's going to be more congested tomorrow and there's zilch we can do about it.

I could do what my selfish friends are doing. Macro and stay in the game, but I refuse not because Im scared of getting caught, because I find that to be unfair to others.
So they are having fun, while I deal with babysit a queue. I'm starting to think being nice is not the answer.
what a non response... are you this naïve that this problem will fix itself on it own soon? you do realize you have a couple of months of this at least, if the rumors are true and they cant upgrade their infrastructure due to shortages... drastic temporary measures will need to be implemented to prevent the bleeding of paying customers.. you know it , i know it, they know it... this will happen.
Yoshi cant make everyone happy... which is what he's trying to do right now.. love the guy, love the game... i want to play it. i pay access to play it... i love to support what i love... but... there are limits... some temporary sacrifices will need to be made if they cant grow their network in the coming weeks or else they risk lose all their growth.
There we agree. I've thought about it myself, but I'm pretty much the same especially with suspect 3rd party programs. Morning is usually the way to get in but I'm not off until Wed, so it either wait until then or play on the Japanese servers (which are wide open it seems)I could do what my selfish friends are doing. "On the other hand, due to the ongoing global shortage of semiconductors we have previously mentioned, we were unable to add new Worlds before the release of Endwalker. The addition of new Worlds will still be considered as we procure the necessary server machines."
They even mentioned it before this, but I honestly can't be arsed finding it.
You're welcome.
First and foremost, they will never shut down the servers randomly. When they did this in Stormblood, they always announced precisely when so players who were progressing the story wouldn't suddenly be kicked while in a cut scene.
With that said, what incentive do people who are trapped in queue have to care? I've been tracking log in times which I may post about in a spread thread. Suffice it to say, if you're only able to log in during peak hours due to work, you're not getting in. At a 4,000 queue, it'll take approximately two hours of frequent monitoring to jump back in after you inevitably lobby error. And you will lobby error. Several times, in fact. So these players can use work arounds until they shut down the servers to at least do something.
Call it selfish all you fancy, but it's equally selfish to expect players to essentially give up 2-4 hours of their evening or simply not play at all so you aren't inconvenienced by a temporary shut down.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
My frustration lies in getting sent to the back of the queue.
First time I logged in, queue was about 1650. I got down to 9 and DC'd.
When I was able to log in again, I'd lost my spot, and was back at about 2800. I got down to 32 and DC'd.
I had over 15 failures to connect to data server, but when I was able to finally get back in, I was at over 4000.
The fix I want is that if you DC out of queue, you get put back in where you were, or if your old spot has come up and you weren't able to get back in time, you're actually put at 1 (not the fake 1 that crashes you again). Right now I'm so despondent. I've waited 2 full queues, for almost 3 hours ... and I'm now further back than when I started 3 hours ago.
FWIW, apparently you now get your place back in line if you're booted. See, Karen... the developers listen to you, even if the rest of us don't.Your answers was unacceptable. The 7 days extra is not going to make me feel better.
You want to say sorry? How about if we get dced in the game, give us 5 mins to log back instead of putting us in a queue? Or better yet, make it if we get dc out of a queue give us longer time to get back in, for our spot.
The extra 7 days you can stick that where the sun don't shine. It means very little when you understood this was going to happen, but did not make it any easier on us.
Also, seeing the replies already, At least I get my money worth calling out this community.
That did not answer my question though.https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...6c0a73094b6b84

Did they say they can't make the queue system better? Because that is my issue. So can you show me where they can't improve that? This had nothing to do with what I ask.
I know reading is hard for you little boy, but you notice where I asked for MORE time to get back in queue? I don't blame you. I blame our school system. I should not have to use the ff14 mod launcher just to get back in queue fast enough.
I'm not your friend or mother. So i should not have to teach you.

This analogy boggles my mind. What's the 'loaner car' in this situation? Cause I can't play. There is no loaner car that I'm getting to drive here. Lol.The mechanic told you your car is not capable of being driven far, it needs a new engine and you have to wait for the new engine, they'll borrow you a loaner car for now at no extra charge, you still get mad at the mechanic jump in the car and keep flooding the engine, it keeps breaking down and you get even more mad at the mechanic.
You're doubling down and refusing to accept reality.
They know there's a problem, they want to fix it, they can't without the new hardware. Nobody is asking you not to be annoyed about it, they're asking you to accept the reality and show a little restraint.
