This non-toxic friendly community is amazing. Defending a party at fault for what reason?

Everyone is annoyed at having to wait in queues and experiencing connection errors. most of them are handling it like adults and being realistic with their expectations. a few people are getting self-righteous and toxic about a congestion problem that everyone knew was coming for months and that there’s no fast and easy solution for. My advice for you is to cool off and play another game for a few days and stop giving yourself a migraine.

1,817 in que...for 30+minutes. Zero movement. So everyone is staying on because they know if they leave they are F'ed. I did that on Sat and Sun, logged in at 5am and logged off at 8pm. Had my daughter 'jump' my toon so I could cook dinner. I will go and play another game. nbd. What I find so surprising is the toxicity of this awesome FFXIV community when anyone calls out the game for issues. It borders on fanatic zeal. That being said, 7 days of game time is garbage. idc about that. I'd rather a cool glamour that indicated I lived through the Endwalker release and not being able to play the game I wanted to play. Do I have other options? Yup. Will I play them? Yup. Am I mad? No. Will I log in at 5am tomorrow? Yup.

This was very poor implementation on Square Enix's part. The launch should have been delayed even further to ensure the game servers could handle the number of pre-orders.

This was no surprise to Square Enix, they knew exactly how many pre-orders there were. All of this could have been avoided with the proper and correct load testing.

With all the new players, there certainly wasn't a monetary constraint in acquiring more servers, data centers, etc.

Or you could not be playing on a potato machine and potato internet? There's a thought. The actual world servers are performing phenomenally, with only the log in server having issues. If you're d/c'ing while already in the game, chances are that's something on your end at this point-- unless SqE specifically says, "Hey, this world server's been having some issues we're on it." Once I actually make it into the game, its been really smooth sailing. No lag. No disconnects. No longer than usual loading screens.

Now, if you're living within an area that has shit internet then you have my condolences. But at that point, that's not Square's fault.

Asking them to save the sorry and make the queue system better is all I want. If you want me to wait in a 3 hour queue at times. Tell me what you are doing to make it easier on me. Instead of having to babysit it for 3 hours. I would like to do something else without the stress. Or even have a buffer if you get dc in game, have a 5 min wait to get back in.


That would be better than 7 days. Making the system we have now easier to deal with. I'm not even upset at the queue i'm more upset with the loops I got to jump through to play, things THEY KNEW about before the launch and did not fix. And if they can't, tell us they can't, since you know they tell us everything else. The fact they mention very little on it. Should upset everyone, but here we are got people telling us to quit, or entitled. The sheer audacity of some of you amazes me.

You want to say sorry? How about if we get dced in the game, give us 5 mins to log back instead of putting us in a queue? Or better yet, make it if we get dc out of a queue give us longer time to get back in, for our spot.

The extra 7 days you can stick that where the sun don't shine. It means very little when you understood this was going to happen, but did not make it any easier on us.


Also, seeing the replies already, At least I get my money worth calling out this community.

The mechanic told you your car is not capable of being driven far, it needs a new engine and you have to wait for the new engine, they'll borrow you a loaner car for now at no extra charge, you still get mad at the mechanic jump in the car and keep flooding the engine, it keeps breaking down and you get even more mad at the mechanic.

You're doubling down and refusing to accept reality.

They know there's a problem, they want to fix it, they can't without the new hardware. Nobody is asking you not to be annoyed about it, they're asking you to accept the reality and show a little restraint.
