It's because we have more players than we did for every prior worse expac.

There's also a big difference between not being able to progress and not even being able to play; and the latter is more upsetting for a lot of people. I personally found Raubahn Savage to be worse because you basically combined difficult queues with an inability to progress even if you did get in, as well as the whole of DF being broken for a large portion of that, but I can understand why EW's launch would be more upsetting to a lot of people.

Because for many the queues means not being able to play? Is that really so hard to understand? Not everyone play hardcore, not everyone is unemployed and have infinite time to wait in a queue regardless if the queue presumably worked without throwing errors at you, and others took days of to play and are unable to due to reasons… but every single one paid for this ”experience”.

Myself for example been in queue ever since I got home- started at position 6300; now I have to prepare for tomorrow and go to bed- queue position at 4100. I think this is the worst expansion release I’ve ever seen and yet I’ve done MMOs since 2005.
This is totally unacceptable for a commercial game in my opinion, way way worse than the release of something like Cyberpunk 2077 and yet that was a trainwreck.

And whats really said is basically the only thing I’ve seen of endwalker is first quest and the titlescreen… cause I cant get on… at all, maybe things are better in US or JP but in the EU its a catastrophe.

Everyone is annoyed at having to wait in queues and experiencing connection errors. most of them are handling it like adults and being realistic with their expectations. a few people are getting self-righteous and toxic about a congestion problem that everyone knew was coming for months and that there’s no fast and easy solution for. My advice for you is to cool off and play another game for a few days and stop giving yourself a migraine.
