Failure of a launch. Embarrassed to be a legacy customer
You havent called out anyone, if anything the only one being called out is you.Your answers was unacceptable. The 7 days extra is not going to make me feel better.
You want to say sorry? How about if we get dced in the game, give us 5 mins to log back instead of putting us in a queue? Or better yet, make it if we get dc out of a queue give us longer time to get back in, for our spot.
The extra 7 days you can stick that where the sun don't shine. It means very little when you understood this was going to happen, but did not make it any easier on us.
Also, seeing the replies already, At least I get my money worth calling out this community.
And to no ones surprise i can see why.
You could be more civil about your bad take, instead of acting like a child.
Anyway byee
The OP isn't acting like a child, they've every right to be angry. 7 days paid time doesn't give back the missed opportunities that were presented as an "early launch." Empty "sorry" posts are a tired bone developers have been throwing to paying customers for too long. Each of pays (14.95$ x 12) $179 USD a year plus the cost of this expansion--and it's clear little of the profits SE makes is spent on improving their ability to handle and mitigate server loads.
So, you log on to attack someone for being upset about what--what they're paying for isn't being delivered? At what point do we call your attempt to defend a billion dollar company "childish?" You're literally complaining about complaining.
Just saying.
Feel free to continue to post whatever you'd like, but I they're absolutely not being childish by holding Square Enix accountable for their shortcomings. They've had a very long time to prepare for this and it's clear, once again, they chose not to do enough.
I have been playing since ARR and have grown into a big fan of the game. Nowdays I can only play a few hours a week mainly during evening hours. The fact I bought an expansion which I can´t even play because I have to wait 3 to 5 hours just to log in is outrageous. The only compensation that justifies this is a full refund.
Or you could just like... wait a few days, or weeks, and as long as they keep compensating you with additional subscription time at no additional fee just chill. You'll be able to play eventually.I have been playing since ARR and have grown into a big fan of the game. Nowdays I can only play a few hours a week mainly during evening hours. Let's sell lots and lots of Endwalker copies, Early access; charge the customer on the planned release day- but delay the launch 2 weeks, start the actual "early access" knowing that there will be so many players who preordered that there is no way they will all be able to play. Apologize over and over again, it will work cause the community is so understanding, offer 7 "free" days and have the white knights cheer at the generousity- in fact we've been robbed by 14 days of endwalker even before this release as the charge was performed Nov 23, I assume that applies to everyone or else it's just me who paid for something I can't possibly access during weekdays and only for an hour or so during weekends.
This is terrible indeed and it's unexcusable, it should not been launched at all given the situation but of course the time is running out for this fiascial year so they needed the money. I don't think these 7 days offered is generous at all, we should have gotten 14 days just at the time the release date was postponed.
I said it before the "anger" you see now is only the start of it, and there is no indication what so ever that this will die down anytime soon, why would it?
Sorry I can't hear you up here on the moon sweetie

people keep saying EW launch is not even the worst
but i cannot remember seeing this volume of vitriol with SB or ShB... OwO'
i started at early-ish HW, 3.0, so did not live to see that bottleneck if there was any
can remember raubahn block, and, uh, yeah, it was not fun - so i did something else while waiting,
and suddenly!! the waiting was not so unfun anymore
It's because we have more players than we did for every prior worse expac.people keep saying EW launch is not even the worst

There's also a big difference between not being able to progress and not even being able to play; and the latter is more upsetting for a lot of people. I personally found Raubahn Savage to be worse because you basically combined difficult queues with an inability to progress even if you did get in, as well as the whole of DF being broken for a large portion of that, but I can understand why EW's launch would be more upsetting to a lot of people.
Times have changed. These are different circumstances but I don't remember seeing the same level of anger before, even one month after the original 1.0 launch debacle.people keep saying EW launch is not even the worst

I am not justifying the disservice though: we all paid money to play and I gladly welcome the refund for the days in which the service was not promptly available.
That is enough to make me happy. We've waited 12 years to see the end of the saga, we can wait 12 more days.
