Error 2002 can refer to one of two POSSIBLE scenarios.
If the login queue is at 17,000 individual logins it will drop you from that session.
OR
It could be a temporary break in your connection, causing packet loss which is on the ISP side.
Like yourself, I have a Hardwired connection that is backboned on FIBER OPTIC and it still happens to me. To the person calling people morons or idiots--chill out with that toxic behavior. I get it that the same posts are frustrating but there is no need to resort to that kind of behavior. If you can't help the person in a constructive, DECENT way, then do not REPLY.
To the OP, tl;dr.
Either the login queue hit 17,000 at your exact login moment or your ISP/connection experienced a temporary packet loss. Packet loss happens from the Cable/DSL ALL the way to the FIBER OPTIC level.
