An end to server congestion?

Ever since I started gaming on FF14, I have been enthusiastic with the experience before me.

Now I feel my money, my time and my love of the game are not appreciated.
I play on Chaos - Cerberus I started off with a queue of 9 900 people then at 1700 something an error occurred. Now am back queuing at 8.061.

Having a compensation in terms of free play is nice and well but what I really want is to know what actions are taken about that. Cause what's the use if you can't even log on... Almost sounds like a joke...

Are we just waiting that people get tired and move on to another game?
Are new servers planned ?
Is any action planned to deal with that ?
I mean this is pre-release only...

early access is a marketing feature, nobody who want to play gonna wait the 7. you still can buy the xpack and get in right now.

It'll probably get better in the next week or so. For now, best thing you can do is wake up fairly early and log on then. The queues are a lot more manageable at like 8am EST.

With cloud technology - This could easily have been scaled to some cloud servers to avoid the issue. Margins would be a little lower, but at least the customer base would be able to login.

Ahh yes, because cloud servers magically do not need hardware to run, so the chip shortage means nothing if you move to a cloud service.

Because it's also super-easy to take code from 2010 that wasn't intended to run on AWS or Azure and slap it on there.
