Well to be honest, it really doesn't matter what goes on here. They've got an idea already of what they want to do as far as instancing is concerned, I wouldn't expect it to change. The only times the community has changed the devs minds is when there was an enormous unanimous backlash. There are a good number of supporters for both on either side so I don't think support on either side is big enough to change their minds.

Also it's not as black and white as everyone's making it. There will be a mix of both types of content, that is what they have been doing since Yoshida took over. Both sides should appreciate the content that is given to them for their preferred type of content. Just because the content isn't something you like doesn't mean it doesn't exist or doesn't matter. If a mix of instanced and open-world content is not good enough for you though, I would suggest you cut your losses and quit. Find a game that offers the type of content that you do like and play it. Games are meant to be enjoyed, if you're not enjoying it then the next logical step would be to stop playing. The devs are, in most cases, going to do what they want.
