Instanced Boss Fights: Sometimes. We have a good system going now with the primals, yet open world "HNMs" would also be welcome.

Instanced Battles/Events: No. No no. It makes it even harder for players to just pop in and enjoy. If this game is to be easily accessible, it's completely backwards to make content like this 8 person party only. We should be able to "party up" for things like this but also be able to take part solo. Campaign and Besieged were good examples of this from FFXI, and the Imperial Assault events are a good example of this that we have in this game now. Hamlet Defense is a BAD example of this.

What do medals even mean anyway?
God yes...a lot of the FFXI supports don't realize just how much content in FFXI was instanced>.>;

I seriously think we'll hear a lot less about complaints if SE wasn't giving us half-assed content to tide us over to 2.0

But when we get some real content, instanced or not, SE needs to be clever with it, no more of this speed run bullshit>.>

However if HNM's were open world, SE really needs to implement them carefully. A simple pop spot like in FFXI is simply a horrid idea. I will give it to them tho, they started getting creative with HNM's later down the line. HNM's like Ixion, That sandworm thing, Turul(not really a HNM's but a good concept none the less) were steps into the right direction. HNM's that weren't static, Ixion popped in multiple zones, and Turul roamed around a zone. They just didn't stay in one spot I think that's the point I'm driving it. You actually would have to look for them lol
