Question to Square Enix

Greetings my friends,

Just really wanted to ask one question Square Enix. I am usual guy who works in the office environment 9am to 5pm in Europe. For last 6 years I have been playing FFXIV and was really enjoying. However, I see one issue here and would love to hear an answer. So lets say I am back after hard work home around 5:30pm Europe time. Switch on FFXIV client and boom, see 7k Q. By the time I would log in into the game my statics raids hours long gone and its probably 2am already So what is the plan here? How will you accomodate normal working people who still want to enjoy the game? By all means this post not meant to sound like I am slagging a company or anything like that, infact I love the game and when I am actually inside the server, game runs very smoothly. Biggest issue is how to get in when you dont have a chance to login early in the day?

interested if you ever get an answer.. but I'll tell you right now that the current problems will likely not persist into next week. So while launch is going to be rough for a bit, it's not going to be like this forever.

The hype will die down soon and first raids come out in January next year, so enough time before the initial surge goes away.

So from a raiders perspective this won't be a problem once the raids are introduced, was the same in previous expansions and it always worked out.

They won't do anything! They'll wait for the people to leave by themselves.

That's atleast what pessimistic me thinks!

Honestly tho, play something else for a while! It's better for our minds

I am a freelancer and even I have hard time playing right now. Mostly queues and chill.
Good thing I have plenty of other games I can dump my free time into.

They're accomodating you by providing a week of free play time (or looking at it another way, refunding you for a week of play time) to compensate for not being able to play currently. Expectations are, after a week or so, queues settle down. If not, assumptions currently are they may further compensate.

You could go to bed early, then get up early and play before work. I know it's not ideal but the initial congestion will die down soon enough and we will be back to normal soon enough.

I suggest this as someone who works nights so shifting my sleep schedule by 12 hours twice a week is normal for me

There is no thing they can do now. May be over time there won't be as much wait. But there was an over population problem for at last the past half year.like for how long the most of the servers are closed to new characters? Even the server I am on is like this and it was a small eu one. Now nee servers can help as there cros server play. Sadly SE as a company is trash,not the devs but the corporate side.
So sadly all you can do is not play for some time(weaks-1 month).
I think SE need to delay the raids for now.
