If they did that, then the devs would have to start designing the game without the MSQ as a factor. That's the entire point of this game. If it's like a skip after a one time play through, then I could see that being cool. If it's to skip the MSQ entirely, then peeps are playing the wrong game.

It's an MMO. People of all different playstyles will be attracted to the game. I'm someone who enjoys the MSQ but people who don't and just want to play the content are just as valid to play the game.

Either way, let's not pretend that FFXIV is a game where story matters all the time. It's one and done and you're just standing around waiting for queues to pop until the next bit of story is added. Let people skip it if they want to.
