A way to add more server (?)

I know with the difficulties to add new servers with the lack of transitors worldwide make the company unable to add new servers, but to enhance experience of people with queue difficulties, isn't it possible to add new server where we can't create new character, they're just here to give an extend to be able to play the storyline. It would work like Guild Wars 2, where you can transfer from a server to another and avoid login queue timer.

Just adding new servers won't solve the issue, because only brand new player would maybe roll on any new server, anyone who have played for month/years won't move just because of queue time.

That is not what i meant to say, it's more like actually where you can move to another server, without changing it for good.

you mean.. the world visit from login and server selection? Which is already in place?... although not working entirely properly.

Yes a World visit, but on server with no character created in there (and no possibilty to merge one in thoses server), as a temporary server. I think the data in there would be lowered due to no housing/and others data restricted.
It is like a Seasonal server.

Again.. this would be hosted on what hardware or data center? I understand your reasoning, but the equipment to implement it still isn't available even if it's not as robust as the established servers.

This doesn't exist currently so wouldn't be able to create one without making a new server. A new server can't be created because of the chip shortage. So ultimately, no, it's not possible. Everyone just kind of has to grit their teeth and deal with the situation going on right now or just not play for the time being in my opinion.

It could work on older servers, as it is simply a sub one. No need to save all the data. (not sure how it work tho, just tossing an idea).

I think the best solution would be a serious upgrade in regards to servers / server architecture - thus simply new and way more powerful hardware. However, this is a mid-term solution at the earliest. I do not see short-term solutions unless you bought in at the likes of Amazon or Microsoft. However, I assume there are reasons Square isn't doing this already, thus we kinda need to wait out until all the after-effects of the pandemic wear off.
