Endwalker MSQ doesn't give enough EXP

I've had no EXP problems, personally. I'm at 89 just finishing the level 87 quests, and all I've done was a half-level from WT at 81, a few early FATEs in the first zone, and MSQ quests/MSQ dungeons. No roulettes, all sidequests and FATEs after the first few funneled to SMN (which is now 3/4 of the way to 85), and the only dungeon I repeated was the first one to help a friend, which I did on SMN. Definitely doesn't feel like issues to me. o.o

I didn't have any issues with XP gain at all, and I ended up being about a level and a half to two levels above the MSQ before I hit cap and the quests themselves started catching up. I did the entire MSQ on RDM and did a little side content. A few FATEs here and there when a bonus XP one popped up while I was near it. I also did the aether currents and flying quests, along with map completion and lookouts when I saw them. So nothing too extravagant. I did have at least a couple weekly challenge bonuses pop while doing everything and had a bunch of rested XP to burn through as well though so it wasn't just plain, unaugmented MSQ XP and nothing else.

I've done the side quests for the aether currents, various Fates, a few daily dungeons and I'm already level 90 on a level 89 dungeon. I haven't even unlocked the sixth area yet.

Traditionally I've always had issues with exping during the main MSQ on expansion drop - I've had to do dailies, farm fates etc just to get to the next level. This time around it wasn't the case. I changed nothing to how I've approached expansion drop either.

I've been loving Endwalker. The story has been great and the gameplay changes has been really good. The problem I've had though is that I am not recieving enough EXP to even continue the story.
I am currently lvl 82 with my RDM, which is the job that I'm playing through the MSQ with. But my next quest is lvl 83 and I am unable to continue the story. Thus I am forced to grind up EXP just so I can get back on track. And this isn't the first time. I had the same issue when the guest lvl incressed from lvl 80 to 81, and 81 to 82.
I will however say that when the story split in to two quest lines - one in Sharlayan and one in Thavnair - I did play as AST for the Sharlayan questline. But I did get barenly enough EXP on my RDM so I just needed to do only 1 side quest. But as I am progressing, the EXP gap is getting longer and longer.
Am I the only one with this issue? Some members of my FC have had the same issue once at most, while others are playing though it with even a lvl above the quest level. It's a shame how this is my case as SE did say they were going to make it easier to progress the story smoothly with even 2 classes, and I can barely progress smoothly with 1

I bolded where you went wrong. MSQ plus aether current quests and zone exploration provides enough XP for a single job. It doesn't provide enough XP for two or more jobs. You need to pick either RDM or AST. You can't level both unless you're going to also do a lot of side content.

I never ran into exp issues and all I did was MSQ, one fate, and all aether current quests. In fact by the end I was level 90 doing 89 quests.

I was overleveled for every zone and I only did the first set of side quests in Thavnair and all aethercurrent ones. I may have gotten a little excess from a dungeon hitting 80 as Reaper too. I didn't even run out of rested exp all the way from 70

I have almost 3 lvl 90's and i havn't even completed the msq yet.

I was slightly annoyed that I hit EXP walls even though they said you wouldn't this time.

Buuuut that's been the case for every expansion thus far and it took like one leveling roulette per wall to get over it, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Just do your levelling roulette once a day and should be good to go.

It's a little low, but largely fine. I went back to Pixie tribes to finish up a level once and ran leveling roulette twice during the entirety of MSQ, I wouldn't say that's "grinding". Sure, it would have been nice to not need to do that, but it's not as bad as previous expansions.
