Endwalker MSQ doesn't give enough EXP

I did MSQ with one job, all MSQ quests and dungeons but no side quests. I came up a tiny bit short of (I think) level 87 in the fifth zone and maybe 10% short of level 89. If the aether current sidequests were factored into the "correct amount" of EXP then that would explain it.

For everything else, I had no issues, and once I did get up to level 89 I got exactly the right amount of EXP from the MSQ to hit level 90 on the second-last level 89 quest.

Since then, they've announced that they've buffed the EXP gain from dungeons, so nobody should have any issue as long as they're playing with a single class.

I've been loving Endwalker. The story has been great and the gameplay changes has been really good. The problem I've had though is that I am not recieving enough EXP to even continue the story.
I am currently lvl 82 with my RDM, which is the job that I'm playing through the MSQ with. But my next quest is lvl 83 and I am unable to continue the story. Thus I am forced to grind up EXP just so I can get back on track. And this isn't the first time. I had the same issue when the guest lvl incressed from lvl 80 to 81, and 81 to 82.
I will however say that when the story split in to two quest lines - one in Sharlayan and one in Thavnair - I did play as AST for the Sharlayan questline. But I did get barenly enough EXP on my RDM so I just needed to do only 1 side quest. But as I am progressing, the EXP gap is getting longer and longer.
Am I the only one with this issue? Some members of my FC have had the same issue once at most, while others are playing though it with even a lvl above the quest level. It's a shame how this is my case as SE did say they were going to make it easier to progress the story smoothly with even 2 classes, and I can barely progress smoothly with 1

If you do all 6 fates in each area to get the riding map on top of just doing MSQ straight with no side quest, you will be ninety before you even complete the story. Main Scenario, Leveling, Alliance Raids, Frontline also give massive amounts of exp. You will smash leveling in no time, I believe in you.

I leveled both Reaper and Dragoon during the MSQ (Though, admittedly, I only started leveling DRG when RPR was almost level 90.

I've seen a streamer only do MSQ and not get level locked, and another streamer level two jobs just with MSQ.

EXP is fine.
