Resolution bugged

So I turned off the Directx 11 support (as I use Directx 12) And now the screen of the game will not adjust to the 1920-1080 Screen resolution I have my Display settings set as. What do I do to fix this? I also turned Directx 11 Support back on and it is only slightly better, but I can still only see the top left of the screen, zoomed in, the only difference at this point is that with the Directx 11 support turned on I can see the Exit game Prompt when I have to hold ALT-TAB to exit the game. I'm more a PS4 Player not a PC player, so this particular issue is new to me.

You cant link an image from your C: drive.

I'm new to uploading images to this fourm, it wanted a link, so I figured this to be the way it's want it, as the link started with an HTTP address, but if I can figure out how to actually link it right I'd be more than willing to do so, if you'd assist me.

Um, you cannot just disable a DX version, the software you run dictates which version is needed. XIV requires DX11 (or 9c) and your PC (GPU) -supports- DX12 amongst others (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and their point releases) and you cannot just force a version to work on software that does not support it. You're going to have to do a little legwork to get things going again. Seeing as I've never had anyone try to do this I'm not able to advise you on specific steps to take, it might be a simple deletion of a config file, or a Windows reset/reinstall. It will depend on how you have done this. Best advice I can give you for the future is that unless you know exactly what you are doing, do not alter Windows settings in such a manner.

Try changing the resolution in the configuration file. It's in this folder located in C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn and called FFXIV.cfg

Display setting should look something like this for 1920x1080

The screen left and top are what mine is at but i'm using 3840x960 so no idea if the values are correct for you. Screen mode 2 is windowed fullscreen btw.

thank you everyone! ^w^ Apparently Resetting the System Settings seems to have fixed it, of course I had to re calibrate my controller as well as re adjust my in game system settings, but that was a small price to pay for a fix >w<
