Possible Fix for 2002

I don't know if this has been brought up or not. But if you keep getting 2002 error. Try disabling your firewall, and running FFXIV launcher as admin.

After you're in try connecting to other Data Centers, and vice versa. Watch the movie, clips. I believe there to be some kind of reconnect function at the start menu when you go from watching the movie back to the start menu screen that could help resolve some of the errors.

Im not sure on this 100%. I've had my share of 2002 errors but ive been able to get in and play the game.

I believe with everything going on they added additional ports to the game that may not be unblocked on your pc.

There is no fix. It is a measure to kick people who are afk in the quee while they wait to get in.

The 2002 errors have nothing to do with your computer or local account permissions. It's an issue with the server queues being full. Changing your firewall and admin status won't help.

Square Enix explains that the measure prevents the server from crashing due to “extreme traffic overloads”, though If you encounter the error the developer suggests you wait a few minutes before trying to log in again. Thankfully, the wait shouldn’t be too hard. Following a surge of popularity earlier this year, Square Enix increased capacity for simultaneous logins and a 30-minute AFK timer to ease server congestion, so players should be coming and going quicker than before.

That's really interesting, that would explain why at peak times we were seeing more players reporting error 2002. Did you find anything on 4004?

I can only assume it is something closely related to 2002 but under different circumstances.

I've logged on during peak hours no issue. I sat in a 4k Queue to get into. 2002 and got back in. With my spot remaining the same. I was just simply trying to make suggestions, for people to try to play the game or atleast get in queue.
And i did everything i suggested.
