It should die down quicker than most expect. It is the holidays and people cannot get much time off during such a busy time of the year. Come Monday and I personally do expect much smaller queues across the board.
hopefully, it is making some duty queues rather terrible. one of my FC mates gave up on a 8 man story instance because even after an hour not a single person joined.
