    You said you weren't getting what you paid for. That would be the expansion. It's there, so you're still getting what you paid for.

    I don't know what else you're trying to drag into this but FFXIV is also one of the only MMO's out there where the decade old content is still active and has been updated (though probably not in the way YOU want).

    Dude said there was NO reason. There are plenty of reasons this is happening that were out of everyones control. Being upset is understandable. Acting like this could have been avoided entirely is not.

I suggest you address support and attempt to request a refund for not accessing the game at all.

    Funny to see a guy with the name "reasonableGuy" make an unreasonable post.

    Ship shortages, etc.. etc... it was explained at length by yoship/SE months ago multiple times since the influx of new players in the 5.55 downtime.

    It is understandable to be upset about it, but if you value your sub money so much you should have waited for the second week of the launch where those problems most likely won't exist. This was expected and the real problem we face is long queues, once you get in the rest is fine, the servers are running just as usual and you can play normally.

    Before anyone reply to this with the "argument" of "wHy ArE yOu DeFeNdInG a BilLiOn dOlLaR CoMpAnY", I'm not "defending" I'm just stating facts and using simple logic, think for one minute before you act and you will get to the same conclusion.

    I know y'all would love to blame it on the company that supposedly is withholding access from you because they couldn't plan around unforeseen growth... but some perspective is very much necessary here. Right now there is absolutely nothing that can be done to "fix" this for everyone. All the complaints here are people trying to explain how they deserve refunds and credits for things that were announced ahead of time and explained to death.

    Y'all didn't pay attention and now you're mad. .. *shrug*.. go off.

    My only issue is the 4004 and 2002 errors that are kicking people out. Queue times I don't care about, I remember once having a queue time of 10,000+ in a game. The issue that I think spurs the anger and frustration is the erroring out of queue or when their time is up they get error 4004. Being annoyed or angry is totally reasonable. I have stopped attempting to queue because I was able to play yesterday, and today it doesn't seem to be in the cards and I hope my not queuing might give someone else a chance.

    Other than that there really isn't much else anyone can do. Yelling at each other, or debating endlessly over what could be the case is an exercise in futility. Trying to police people's frustration with blatant smarmy passive aggressive posts and spamming the same angry threads over and over when there are already multiple threads on the subject are only making our community look bad, when really this is one of the best communities I ever was a part of.

    Can we please stop the attacks on people for having a low post count?
    Don't misunderstand, I completely disagree with the whiners and understand why Square Enix was simply unable to find adequate servers at this point in time.

    I just don't feel like their post count has anything to do with their inability to understand the situation.

    Actually I never asked for a refund. I asked for better management. This is not some unheard of concept with MMO's. It happens all to frequently to say "Unforseen Growth."
