    But this is the problem with the "the customer is always right" mentality. In most of these threads they've most certainly been wrong. We know why there is a problem. We know where it is out of their control. We know what can be done about this. We know what's stopping it from happening. Yet the 'customer' still has to point fingers. Actually, this is what I disliked about working in customer service, something happens outside of your control and you're up front and honest about it? The customer doesn't care, it's your problem and it's a disgrace that they're inconvenienced by it, rather than understanding the situation, it's just they didn't get what they wanted and are unhappy about it and the reason why is rarely "good enough". I mean some customers are understanding, but this whole things really stinks of that.

    Sure, they're right to be frustrated, annoyed, exacerbated and so on. I am 100% happy to empathise with that.

    It sucks. But on this occasion? It IS defensible. You still need somebody to point your finger at and direct your frustrations towards? Try bitcoin miners, or if you like or 5g.

    But at least they're giving us free game time and may extend it depending on how long it goes on for. So for all the "give us a refund" folks here you go, you're not being charged for a service whilst this is still happening.

    They offers 7 days of sub as a compensation to sub players. In term of your money, they have done paying their debt for the time you have to wasted during queue until further problems, if any.

    Also explains why 2002 or other errors happen. 2002 can also be encountered if your Internet connection is unstable, like using wifi or your ISP hates you. I encounter this error often before EW when my ISP decides to be subpar.

    Imagine defending a multimillionaire company that charges you real money for an emote meanwhile they refuse to update content from most a decade ago

    You said you weren't getting what you paid for. That would be the expansion. It's there, so you're still getting what you paid for.
    You're more than welcome to have your opinion, don't expect not to be called out on it being crazily close minded though.

    SE doesn't need defending. I'm just stating facts that for some reason people are ignoring. Like how the entire situation is unprecedented and unexpected to the degree it occurred.

    I don't know what else you're trying to drag into this but FFXIV is also one of the only MMO's out there where the decade old content is still active and has been updated (though probably not in the way YOU want).

    Can we please stop the attacks on people for having a low post count?
    Don't misunderstand, I completely disagree with the whiners and understand why Square Enix was simply unable to find adequate servers at this point in time.

    I just don't feel like their post count has anything to do with their inability to understand the situation.

So your 50 cents a day is being utilized by you, just not in the way you want or when you want. Yeah the queue is a pain for us all, but you making a new thread topic for the forums when there are tons of threads on this same subject is a bit painful as well, just to read through the same complaints. I suggest you address support and attempt to request a refund for not accessing the game at all.
