    Endwalker - Queue DC Issues

When submitting a bug report, please use the below template and thoroughly fill out the necessary information.

    Date & Time: 9:30PM MST
    Frequency: All Day
    World name: Sargatanus
    Character name: Udyr Shakur

    Steps:
    1. Sign into the game get error 2002
    2. Relaunch the game and get into 4000 people queue
    3. Get DC'd twice but am able to get back in queue to my saved spot
    4. Get DC'd again with only a few hundred people ahead of me
    5. Game won't let me sign back in and get back in queue after multiple attempts
    6. Finally lets me get back into queue but it kicked me out of my spot so back at the end of the 4000 person queue. Wasted multiple hours today to NOT be able to sign in.

    This is unacceptable.

Blame it on packet loss or data centre queue cap all you want.

The very least you can do, as the developer for a product that relies on continuous internet connectivity, is to implement a gosh darn automatic reconnect feature.

Having to babysit the client in queue for hours is laughable, inexcusable, exhausting and annoying.

I don't mind queues. It's the fact that I have to actively engage with it, yesterday for over 6 hours, that gets me.

This error should be a notification and the client should automatically retry connection. This is a basic feature guys...

It would also be nice if the game saves your spot after a DC so you don't have to queue again...
Doesn't even need to be that long, 10 min max should be more than enough to get back in game.

Another related issue to the queue errors we're seeing is, having waited in the queue for a period of time, then seeing it disconnect at "Players in queue: 1". A number of folks in my FC have seen the same thing.

As for the moment of this post, nothing have changed. Right now I have waited like 1 and a half hour with 2203 people in queue, before this I had 4 times 2002 error, last time I was 894 in queue, then went back to 3208. I have always played FF14 early access and since Shadowbringers this become much worse. Square Enix say it is addressing this issue, but from what I have seen and experienced in first hand, it feel like they are really not doing nothing and buying their time with empty words.

I don't know perhaps it will be best to avoid early accesses, because they don't seem to care about congestion, historically speaking.

Just to add to this comment, I know dear Square Enix is very much interested in juicing as much as it can from this game, but providing a good service is part of it. What I see in FF14 is plain straight Greed.
1º - They knew this situation was a thing from previous early accesses issues.
2º - They knew beforehand the amount of users that have purchased the early access, and with that data in hand, they could foreseen this situation; but did nothing to mitigate it.
3º - Now they provide empty words of apologies, which from my point of view, are they trying to buy their time and wait for the dust to settle.

So no, there is no forgiveness from this. You had all the data necessary to fix this issue before it was even a thing.
