90006 Error

Yea I'm getting the 90006 error as well. I'm thinking of just dropping my sub and playing another MMO for a few months until SE gets this sorted out. SE knew SHB was popular and knew that they needed to upgrade their servers/cluster for 2 years now. If you think they didn't know this was going to happen well you are very wrong. They know very well what the max compasity is. It's called stress testing and load balancing. Furthermore they need to add another line to current data Center and a new cluster of servers/network hardware to accommodate the surplus of users.

Honestly I don't think this issue is going to be resolved for a while. It definitely won't resolve itself with having free trial and a new content.

They knew their clusters were reaching maximum b4 launch of SHB. Upgrades were needed then but now they have to shell out $$$ for upgrades if they wish to retain their current player base.

Yup, they could have begun updating their server infrastructure well before the pandemic cause shortages of components. But with all developers, they invest "just enough" and only "when it's called for" on server updates because the company won't sit on those costs as it can impact the short term shareholder value even though it will provide greater longevity and long-term shareholder value. But no one seems to understand the fundamentals of economics like that and short-term gains tend to be sought more than the long-term gains and stability.
