A timer on an MSQ event quest?!

I... might be done - like literally can't continue. I get it, it's a me thing, quests with timers give me anxiety to begin with. Throw in:
    • Limited healing
    • Weak DPS
    • Several dozens of enemies you have to "stealth" (lol) past

and it's too much for my brain. 10 minutes into the 30 minute timer, and I only started to get an idea of what I have to do. I quit in a not-so-quiet-panic.

So yeah. I never expected an MSQ quest to induce a panic attack that could prevent me from actually playing the game anymore. This sucks. I'll try again tomorrow, queues and luck willing.

I found this a pretty cool experience. It really gets your heart pumping, and it is supposed to do so! You are in a pretty serious situation after all.

But yeah, the big, flashing timer is kind of distracting.

Best advice I can give: Ignore the timer. You have more than enough time to search pretty much any building there, pick up items that help you, and wait for a moment if NPCs are positioned badly (so you can't sneak past them).

Assuming I know which quest you're referring to, I personally took my time with it and fought more enemies than I probably should have. I still finished with just under 12 minutes remaining. I think the timer is there more to make the story reason for being there more impactful. Don't stress about it.

This was the first quest in this game that wanted me to give up and uninstall the game. The timer was not even the problem for me. But navigating in this labyrinth with closed borders, avoiding enemies with little healing possibilities, and then you also have to search for hidden items in this with no clues given? I had to ask someone in my FC to help me, and they said they also needed several attempts and were cursing during this quest. If a quest makes you curse and hate it... its not a good quest.
It is nice to see that some ppl seem to enjoy it, but i wonder how.

I also played it before, and i enjoyed it. I just don't like this kind of quests. Or are you saying that for you all the (game) quest are just the same?

Honestly, I hate this quest too, and it's not even the stealth element.

You literally don't get any markers, don't have any reason to reassemble a broken magitek armor when you would think you can just stealth all the way to the camp, and there's random barriers everywhere. Plus even if you find certain items like the fuel tank in advance you can't pick them up until you inspect the magitek armor and talk to the dying imperial.

As much as I enjoy the MSQ so far I really think that this is the worst solo duty I've played so far just on account that even if stealthing past mobs is like breathing to you, you'll still be hella confused on what to do unless you look up a guide

While I can only speak for my own experience, I found the whole quest to be rather intuitive and finished on the first try. Your goal is to head to to the camp located to the southwest, so your general direction should have you winding down that way. By dodging enemies and following that choice of direction, you come across the broken armor. Since the path south is blocked by a barrier and the way to the west is full of Magitek past notable Plot Magitek Armor, it's pretty obvious you're using the armor to blast your way through a la Praetorium (though I wasn't expecting all the fun new toys on this armor! I just expected the circular blast to finish them off, and machine guns for them getting close). I also didn't find the soldier until last, I missed him entirely! Instead I headed the opposite direction, using tempered individuals to mark my safe path and magitek to mark where I probably didn't want to go. That wound me around to where the fuel was, and I turned it in. And then the pilot spoke to me from nearby when I did so, and I got the key from there.

I didn't feel overwhelmed or confused; I had more than enough medkits from following what was - to me, mind you - a rather intuitive path, and I even aggroed unnecessary mobs 2-3 times, yet ended up with about 4 medkits left over from the end of the instance, as well as around 12 minutes left during the crawl at the end. Mind you, this is my personal experience, and I respect that it may be different for others, but I don't believe that it was confusing or convoluted so long as you paid attention to the design of the instance and how things were placed to funnel and guide you.

I had to do a reddit search for it. yes IMHO this should be side quest material. I am a complete casual. i just play to see the story.

    the quest objectives are hidden.

i was literally having nightmares before I did the quest this morning based on where the storyline could go in my head.

I just ended up running in circles with no clues or direction a timer limiting my exploration to solve the puzzle that i didnt know existed.
