"In from the Cold" Scenario, any way to skip it?

I failed at the first guy to be fought... then I tried again, trying to get as many kits as I could, and whack poor aggroed souls on the way while doing the whole route.

can't wait for the tataru solo instance where she only has 2 buttons and you gotta shop and craft for her favourite adventurer

Actually that's a solo instance I can get behind.
