Cleared it first go, but it wasn't an easy one. Personally I loved it. It was nice to have to think a little for a duty for once.

had zero issues with this...the agro range was very small. I appreciate new creative quest design and would like to see more of it. Adds a bit of suspense to an otherwise dull game as far as risk is involved.
It made sense though, the entire thing was orchestrated for you to "transcend" your mortal limits.I liked the scenario but I felt the resolution was too clean. We're reduced to crawling in the snow but somehow get back in time to stop anything bad from happening kind of deflated the whole thing for me. Zenos is super powerful yet never allowed to actually do anything that will hit us where it hurts.
You basically took a body that was about to die and made it crawl, slowly at first only to speed up and get to a point where you were not only able to stand, but be able to run across a snow field and throw a sword to negate a voidsent avatar's attack. When you were literally on death's door from an explosion. You did exactly what Zenos wanted, you proved you didn't need your body to perform godlike feats, you just did it without your body.
It's really a pity this part is under-exploited/badly exploited, which is finally just a boring quest.
Spoiler about this quest :
I wonder what Zenos did with our body while we were crawling in the snow, to arrive at the same time as us in front of the Scions. Did he go sightseeing or what? Garlemalds POV of his best "friend" the WoL.
I was imagining that Zenos with our body would defeat the Scions and then drama. But nothing, as under-exploited as the famous banquet at the end of ARR which was defused in one or two quests. Like, "we're the bad guys, but you have to negotiate with us" and we go back to Heavensward.
It's just Evil's face, I'm so Evil ! And he gets interrupted by a silly, no doubt white quality sword thrown by us, a shove and no more talk. He must not have understood my keybinds with 30 shortcuts...
Oh yeah, you shouldn't have damaged them too much before the dungeon that comes in 2 quests.

Yeah.... failed a first time because I ended up pulling too much
Then I though I cleared but I failed the end QTEs... (shoot me)
Got it on third try and really disliked it BUT the story around it and after was worth it

The beginning is interesting but the end is like a big messed up fart, in my opinion.
For the quest progression, well, I set it straight to very easy, because it had no gameplay interest for me.

Without mentioning spoilers... I was fortunate enough to see something at the corner of my eye near the end and was able to complete it on my first attempt as well. Reading helps, never skip dialogs lol

It's simpler than that, I let myself die to put it on very easy, because I found it uninteresting, you read what I write? Or are you just implying?
My only complaint for this solo instance was that it quickly became trail and error in the first part. Once the magitech was fixed it was a lot easier to progress.
This quest was fantastic . It created strong emotional feelings , perfectly sculpted to the situation at hand .
We were robbed of our body , angry at that son of a b Fandaniel . We felt pressure to get back to our camp . We were in a state of panic that Zenos was going to cause massive harm to everything we have done , possibly harm our close and dear Scion friends . Destroy the tiny thread of hope the recently rescued Garleans had as they see our Champion , who was portrayed as a Brute but since meeting them in person have seen it was all lies .
It was all going to be undone , everything undone.
Zenos had said to us moments before violating our flesh how he felt weak and strange taking the body he used in post Stormblood to get back to his own body that itself was stolen by Elidebus . We were told how effective they had become in understanding the technique. Nothing was unsaid , it was all leading up to that point .
You were meant to feel helpless , angry , and confused , desperate get get back to your friends .
Then the quest started , you're weak you need to avoid combat . And avoid you can..
Avoid combat i did . I pulled a mob or two , i ran . They reset eventually you just need to be careful not to pull more . The emotions you felt were by design , this set the stage for what had just happened , and what was about to happen
If all we got was a walk to glowy purple circle , enemies spawn, kill with ease the impact would minimal . it wouldn't have felt as desperate . It told the story and made you feel what the developers wanted you to feel . That your enemy isnt a plot armour target dummy anymore , its a very devious , corrupt , nasty bit of work and it made you think you were about to lose everything
Bravo Yoshi , bravo.
