I absolutely hated this duty. I did refuse to put it on easy tho

i would say thats kinda the point, i hated to actually play through it myself but it made me really appreciate just how much ass my character kicks after getting back to my original body so theres that.

That said, in Stormblood Zenos gets put into a Elezen and makes it all the way to Garlemald AND overpowers Elidibus in his body. If Zenos can be full power in another body that doesn't have the Echo wth can't we? We are the warrior of light and should be able to do pretty much what Zenos can do at this point.

to be fair, unlike us during the scenario Zenos did not overpower Elidibus 10 minutes after hijacking his new body while Elidibus on the other hand wasn't using Zenos actual body to its full potential. yes it was still kind of an *** pull but i'm just rolling with "had we had a week or so to hone our muscle memory with our new body we would have been a lot stronger aswell, even if not as strong as we were originally obviously".

I actually enjoyed this, at first I was like aaa no way but then I realized how central it was to the story. Crawling the last way to save my friends made me realize how invulnerable the WoL had become. Seriously, this was a good twist in the story.

This was easily one of the most brilliant solo duties in the game, putting you in a position of powerlessness yet even so you still prove yourself the hero against all odds, all the while filled with apprehension on what sort of damage he might cause.

End of the day though- yeah, it was also one of the most challenging ones, but that's precisely why they put in a very easy mode if you fail a duty... I feel like complaining about this duty when you have that option is kind of like people who roll on pvp servers then complain about getting ganked. The alternative is there for you, if you can't handle it just bump the difficulty down, there's no shame in doing so.

Personally I loved this duty. I preferred it over fighting as one of the other Scions, for example.
I found it stressful and emotionally impactful, considering we go from OP to very vulnerable. Plus all of the cutscenes before/after were great... This moment in the game really got to me.
I'll look back on it as one of the highlights of the game, but that's just my personal opinion.

I was wondering what to expect since seeing this thread the first time, never read it until I completed it just now and I have some mixed thoughts, those being I understand why some people may have been frustrated with it, and why others may have liked it.

I kinda liked it because I felt powerless as hell, I knew I could kill some enemies, but how many? I like to stealth in games as it is and this one tested my patience with unscripted AI movement, I was being patient waiting till the enemies gave me a path to walk though, and funnily enough I ran the wrong way to start off with, but I found a bunch of medkits to use if things went south which made me feel a little confident, I found the wounded imperial soldier, went all the way back for the key again so I basically ran the map at least twice and managed to avoid combat entirely with a tiny bit of luck in some bits due to impatience on waiting for the AI to move again just to make sure I don't enter combat.

After all that though it's a straight forward combat scenario which actually had me worried due to the strength of the enemies and seeing the armed civilians getting low and some dying around me, the last bit with the explosion had me "wtf" for a second because I couldn't tell if I actually dead and had to restart but turns out its part of the story.

So all in all what with how many medkits they give you and some patience this should be do-able with what I would of assumed 2 tries on average, maybe 3 if you're somehow really unlucky or just very impatient, some people saying they felt betrayed on the story with how it was being told are being overly dramatic and honestly it just shows how easy people have come to expect their games as times have progressed, 1 failure or a little bit of actual difficultyand suddenly "the game sucks" or something, I've always found it amusing how you can go through this games entire story with literally 0 challenge at all, I wouldn't dare half the people here to pick up a sega/snes pad and play something like Lion King, Earthworm Jim, Alladin etc, or ps1 games like command and conquer if you truely want to see what hard is lol, or hell just go and play Dark Souls.
