You're thinking of a previous quest where you control Thancred. This one is a bit later on.I beat this quest on my first try. It was a pretty good instance imho. Almost made me feel like Solid Snake.
Some tips:
- Avoid any inorganic enemies at any cost. They are really annoying if you get detected by them.
- Always use stealth to take out humanoids.
- Use the stun grenade on the beasts.
- Save defensive and offensive cooldown in case you get detected (by hopefully only one enemy).

Ye it's a really bad quest line over all. How it's even make logic? Just think of it, ascians all this time can just teleport me to where the fuck they want and did not killed me like this , because? And it show how poorly the villains this time are. Boring to the root. This is the most lame ascian so far. A Wana be joker? Then there zenos. Easy the most boring character in mmo history. And he used to be so good in SB. Why they made him so boring.
You apparently didn't pay any attention to the storyline at all. You are told, specifically, that this 'experiment' is not an 'Ascian' thing but was developed quite recently by Garlemald.Ye it's a really bad quest line over all. How it's even make logic? Just think of it, ascians all this time can just teleport me to where the fuck they want and did not killed me like this , because? And it show how poorly the villains this time are. At least they didn't make you actual crawl for the remainder of the timer..

				Wait... you didn't....?
I was thinking they'd make me slowly break the crawl debuff and then run the rest of the way, perhaps with a buff building back up for mega sprint (like "fastest the WoL has ever ran" lol). Though I've got an over active imagination, hence I can post endlessly XD. So when it broke away at the end of the crawl buff I was like "oh! I won already? I won!".
Another take on that instance, I felt potions were honestly quite generous. One thought, maybe rather than potions is you can rest, but it cuts your time each time you rest. Especially perhaps this is how it works on normal (rest + potions on easy and very easy). As I had like 15+ minutes at the end, I didn't really feel pressed for time. Plus I had spare potions.
Just really think the layout / 'level design' getting some tweaks would help players out enormously. Besides the internal layout but also the external walls, like the red dots being my hint I shouldn't go the way I think I should go to get to glass town the fastest is rather.. "oh..kay.., solve the problem but dont solve it that way I guess". I still thought it was fun, but I think the problem largely revolves around how that section was built (colors, placement, etc, which I don't say as a insult just I think those are the main reasons people are ultimately struggling). Though if it's made more logically (with visual cue stuff) then it'll be finished even faster, so they may have to keep that in mind as they adjust else it'll lose some of the desperation feeling.

I enjoyed that solo duty though I will admit it took me a couple of tries and after I found the gas... I got lost. I never realized until I was quite literally going "Oh shit oh shit oh shit I'm lost I'm lost" that I realized I could have marked the position of the Reaper on the map to help find my way back to it. Soooo for those or you reading this and have the direction sense of Ryoga Hibiki when panicked... please do that it will save your time...
Finished it with around 7 minutes or less but can't wait to play it again with ng+.

Gotta admit, the blown away animation at the end is smooth and awesome.
I hope our characters would get that dead animation at some point.
Long ans tedious but still less cancer than missions were characters need to follow you or vice versa

The worse part about those is when you forget that they are following you and get on your mount.
And then you have to go back to the starting point because the NPC was not able to follow you...
They should at least disable mounts (and maybe even sprint) when a character is following you.

I spend 1 hour on that crap, and hope that nothing like this ever has to appear and for what ?
All it was meant to do is give the player the feeling of : OH NONONONO
Without anything actually happening, literally from the start to the end, this quest could been removed and it would have changed nothing in the story or development. I am already pissed on the "Escort" quests and the need to run on the map forth and back like a retard just to to increase the "content" time.
