Server upgrades?

Has SE said anything about upgrading the servers to help deal with the issues from EW early access? I expected long queue times when it first dropped but it's only been getting worse since then, had a 50 min queue last night, 90 min queue today, can't even go do other stuff thanks to the 2002 errors, just a general trainwreck. I understand there's been an influx of new players, but this is only going to get worse on EW's full release at this rate. SE seriously needs to do something to make the servers actually capable of handling this.

World shortage of capacitors means a shortage of electronics as there supply cannot keep up with the demand, which affects many manufacturers globally. Unfortunately that includes the servers needed. They are ready to get all the server upgrades they to handle the increased population but they cannot just physically get them.

Probably about as long as they've been planning OCE data center. Clearly there have been some setbacks on their long term plans.

People should be asking; if Covid didn't happen and there wasn't a shortage on chips, would we be seeing the same issue with the influx of players? I would bet, yes.

Blame corporate SE for not wanting to add additional funding to their cow. They have a strict, cyclical patch cycle for a reason.
