    just frustrated

    I am sorry but if I do not let out some of my frustration I fear it may spill into the game. But why did i pay for early access? I do not mind the long que times but what I do mind is waiting in line over and over again for hours then when it is almost my time I get booted from the que and get sent to the back of a line of 4k. Over and over again this has been happening. My early access time is being eaten by this so why did I pay for it? I know Yoshi P and his team is doing their best but if this was going to happen why have early access if this was a known problem that was going to happen and why the delay? If I'm going to spend 4 hours in a que I kind of expect to get in and not be sent to the back of the line to wait more time and time again. Is there anything we the player community can do? I do not want a refund, I just want to know if im am going to waste my early access time on 4k ques, just to be kicked back to the end of the line? And if so can you tell me what my early access money is going towards so i can have something to look forward to. I am truly sorry but if I kept this in any longer I know it would grow into resentment even though you guys have done so much for this game and community. Thank you for your time and I do not mean to hurt anyone with my words, but i cannot hurt myself also by not expressing my frustrations. We are a team, so tell me what I can do to help.

    never seen a server with 7k in line before they should have bought 3 servers from blizzard lol they lost 4 servers of people

    I was going to put in there about buying the WoW serves lol. They are not using them. Or their overwatch servers... I do feel bad for Yoshi P and the devs for all their work and this is not their fault but I am getting tired of them asking me to be wait. Just tell me if i wasted money on early access that is fine, just don't dangle the carrot in my face and say wait four hours then you can play, just to be told opps you got kicked from the line. I got dced from game after a long CS and while i was in a duty, making it a high congested area. I did not log out there but I cannot even get in to move my character. Maybe if we get force dced or sever crashes auto move everyone to an inn or telly them to random locations. But no, I am somewhere, where every player will have to go through in between a long CS and a duty.

    I know what you mean, I have been stuck in the same situation since 8am and it's now going on to 4pm, instead of having the 2002 error kick people from the que it should prevent more people from joining it with a small message asking them to come back in half an hour or something, better that than being kicked to the back of a que you've been stuck in all day.

    Can't help having a negative experience

    I'm also just frustrated. I'm glad for the game's success. However, loyal players like myself who log on every day cannot do the things we usually do, let alone enjoy the new content. I'm having a terrible experience with this release due to not being able to get into the game, waiting for hours, over and over, multiple times a day. I was happier before the release. Now I can't even play.

    It's stormblood all over again, honestly. They pretended to have learned their lesson after that debacle, yet here we are again. How many days am I supposed to be unable to log in at all? Probably 4-14. How many days of free play are they going to pass out to people who are, through no fault of their own, completely unable to play the game they are paying for? None, right? And their excuse will be "we had no idea so many people were going to show up!" but they did. The servers have not had a single day leading up to this without a queue. On every server. And they knew the same crowd of boomerangs was going to come flying back on top of that as soon as they mentioned an expansion. It's just getting so old. The excuses, the failures, and nothing ever gets done about it. Pretty sure this game is bringing in more money at this point than most of their solo console releases and yet they just do not allocate the resources to keep it from failing.

    I was finally able to log in and when i did. How do I put this. How can i get invested into the story knowing I could get kicked at any time, then wait over 12 hours to get back. I had my guard up for ShB knowing a MMO could let me down and i finally let it down to get into the game and this happened. Keep the greedy people away from FFXIV. I know it was a money grab so more than enough copies were sold. There was an expected number and even a great number but greed got hold and there was no cap on the amount of games there were sold!! Instead of saying no we have passed our cap and this will make it hard for players to play but instead greed took over. And you burnt us over it! SE could have said no more we made our money that we expected and more so let us stop selling the game and the expac. Please tell me I am wrong. Over 160% more than expected knowing the servers could not handle it but SE did it anyway! Blizzard cared more about money than its players and look where it is. Please please please don't do it to FFXIV. I beg you. I am in tears as I write this as I know Yoshi P and the devs worked so hard for this and SE took a massive dump on all of us and expect us to live on, with it. And now they, Yoshi P and the devs are taking unjust comments and anger, when it is none of our faults! Please don't let greed be the driving force, it was meant to be fun.

    That’s kind of not the point, when is soon, this weekend I’ve managed to play the game for about 2 hours compared to (so far) having been in a wait line for about 10 hours. And I say so far because I am still sat in a line right now, currently at 5420 having already waited 2 hours just to get a server lobby error and be booted to the back of the line at 5600+. So quite frankly although I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the games creation they also need to invest in the infrastructure. And to be quite blunt I want my money back, I’ve payed for early access and all I have access to is a character info screen (that can’t load my character details) a lobby (that keeps encountering an error) to just go to the back of the line again after a few hours.

    It was a greed thing. They had a great number of expected games to sell so they could make money but they went past that but just kept selling the game. It is not Yoshi P or the devs fault. It was SEs greed. This is how it starts, they did a money grab and here is were we are. There was a number that the servers could hold but they said screw it let us get that money. We old players told everyone this game is great, and it is so we invited our friends we played FFXIV in the past and now we the loyal fans have to sept aside due to greed? Blizzard did the same thing and look where they are. To make this right i want an apology, not from Yoshi P or any dev, but by the CEO or the person who picked greed over fun! nd I want them to step far far far away from Yoshi P and FXIV. I never want greed in ffxiv ever again! Give Yoshi P what ever he wants and needs! We are a team and need to back Yoshi P up, not get angry at him. I am angry too but I ask please please please do not blame the devs or Yoshi P. Blame the money man, there is always one and we need to find a way to keep them in a basement along with the board members who only care about money. This is NOT WoW and money should never come first!! WE ARE A TEAM AND WE MUST BACK UP YOSHI P AND THE DEVS PLEASE MY FRIENDS DO NOT BLAME YOSHI P OR THE DEVS. Yoshi P said no pay to win, but the same needs to go for SE. They expected to throw money at this problem in hopes it would go away. SE was playing pay to win!
