i've played wow for 10 years, even in my 10th year of wow "never play on patch day" was a meme everyone held dear, and even without playing a quick google search finds me multiple articles as well as reddit pages of people complaining about shadowlands launch including unstable servers aswell as queues of hell. if you think they could have added like half of ffxiv current playerbase as a surprise gift 4 months before expansion launch and not broken down completly than i want whatever stuff it is that gives you your optimism.

You should have seen the forums for the Shadowlands launch day.

Obviously a great many people are online and playing. When I get home from work and try to log in, I will have a 3 hour queue and maybe and hour to play. This is if I am lucky and the queue isn't larger due to it being the weekend. It is what it is yet they are selling this game and some of us cannot play early am hours when most are not on.

You said the game is unavailable, that's false by your own words:

I mean, 3 hour queues suck, but you CAN play. SE can't control when your playtime is any more than they can control when optimal playtime is, nor can they help that their game is experiencing massive popularity at the moment (though I think they're probably pretty cool with that) but they are working on que times and you CAN play with just a bit of patience and determination.

Unsubbing is just overkill. An kinda whiny besides. It's a statement of a lack of faith in a game that has been running consistently well for a long time.
