But the game has become more popular with time not less and expansions for popular games always brings a ton of people back. This was to be expected. It’s all kinds of annoying, but shouldn’t be surprising at this point.not my first. i have been playing mmos back when ultima online came out. glitches, crashes and rubberbanding. yes, but at least you could get into the freaking game. when you are actually paying for it. a f2p or a b2p i can understand. the actual launch of a new mmo or the first expansion.
But this is the 4th or 5 expansion. depending on how you look at it.
I dont think returning funds is realistically possible. Though returning the playtime we've paid for but couldn't use would be great.
Lot of people are saying "What? Did you expect to actually use the service? Dont you know its an MMO launch" but that aint exactly a mindset I like, very anti-consumer. The problem was foreseeable, and the seminconductor shortage is understandable, but that doesn't mean it isn't a problem that people cannot use the service they paid money for.
Raging against it is unhealthy, it's best to chill and wait, BUT it'd also be nice on the whole consumer-company relationship to get a tangible response beyond a simple apology. Especially since we already dealt with the problems of the delay.
IF they decided to compensate (and I have no idea if they ever do or not) I wouldn't expect anything until all of the mess is settled. That way they know just how much to compensate and to who.

Blizzard would sometimes give everyone a day or two of free time after a bad launch. Sometimes they would mention it in the forums, sometimes they would say nothing. Maybe SE will do that. I agree this would be a bad time to commit to it.

Oh I know that well. I played WoW for more than a decade. I never thought blanket compensation was good. So Bliz gave us a day of time now and then. What if the fubar goes a month? We would still get that one day. Better to wait until it is over and figure out a more equitable solution.
I agree with yall sqinx should compensate us for time lost because of the long que's I'm currently 5,211 in que and probably not going to get to play anymore tonight. my wife has almost finished he msq because " I am afraid if i get up and go afk I will get kicked off line and have to wait in a very long que" which she was right and for this reason it has made the game less enjoyable to play so yes we the warriors of light deserve to be compensated in some form
Play the queue game!

or maybe JUST maybe go to a less crowded world ?
right click on character selection > travel to another world (within same datacenter)
