I logged in with a queue of around 38. its larger now I hear, but I have been on all day.

so I doubt you know that they are lying "for a fact". my experience was the same. different worlds different experiences.

I logged in today at 9:30am server time and had a queue of 50. No problems at all.

Well the ques at around 8am are very low however I'm Pleading with Yoshie P to please fix these long que times as I'm sure many of us have to work through the week and will not get to play I for one don't get home till after 5pm so i wont get to play till the weekend at all that's 5 days of play time lost all so my wife "Skyayla' just brought up this point its going to get worse as of the 7th so every one get ready if they don't fix it

Maybe not their first FFXIV expansion launch, as MMOs like WoW have done refunds and free playtime additions in the past for when their expansion launches sucked (their expansions on the other hand...).

While I wouldn't be opposed to the extra playtime, I'd just rather see the problem solved before we think about any form of compensation.

However, the Devs did give 7 days extra to they current 30 day cycle and said they will give out more if needed and prob going to give out other stuff too

It's not my first and MMO and I had other experience of mmo expending the account time cause they had server trouble as compensation.

not my first. i have been playing mmos back when ultima online came out. glitches, crashes and rubberbanding. yes, but at least you could get into the freaking game. when you are actually paying for it. a f2p or a b2p i can understand. the actual launch of a new mmo or the first expansion.
But this is the 4th or 5 expansion. depending on how you look at it.
