mismatched lore in the lore about Mrga

During a part of MSQ, you are told the history of the elephant people's gods, below is the excerpt:

Hasveydah: In ancient times, the Manusya and the Mrga─deities who look like men and beasts, respectively─were locked in conflict.
[17:19]Hasveydah: Eventually, seeking the wisdom of the Manusya, the Mrga cast aside Their own heads and took up those of Their foes.
[17:20]Hasveydah: Likewise, the Manusya coveted the might of the Mrga, and so They too resolved to trade heads.
[17:20]Hasveydah: Thus were born new gods possessed of both might and wisdom, and They ushered in an age of harmony between the two factions.
[17:20]Hasveydah: From then on, as a sign of Their esteem for one another, the Manusya have worn animal faces, and the Mrga the limbs of men.
Specifically, if one group looked like man and the other looked like beasts, then one should have the head of man and body of a beast and the other the head of beast and body of man. However the line

Manusya have worn animal faces, and the Mrga the limbs of men
Means that they both have beast heads and man bodies, which doesnt make any sense. Since the Manusya are supposed to be animal face/man limbs, the Mrga should be man face/animal limbs

    Continued

    Continuing the mismatched lore
From an Aether-current quest you're given this dialogue.

[9:15]Radiant Host Captain: In pursuit of wisdom did a Mrga do the same, replacing his own head with that of a Manusya. Thus were born divine beings gifted with both strength and wisdom, heralding an age of untold peace.

Citing nothing of the limbs of man.
