Should the launch have been delayed? What else could be done?

Wait...haha. Wouldn't delaying until they got all the servers they wanted by definition have fixed this in that situation? ie, wait for the servers to launch the service that requires the servers?

I work in the tech industry and have seen the delays but they are not indefiniteit's not like the bot caused forever shortages of 3080s we are talking about here. It's just delays on delivery.

They can't afford to delay until they become available given that no one knows when that will be, they still have to meet deadlines for metrics.

Does it even matter now? I don't think that the solutions for these problems could be applied now regardless. It is done. Take notes and prepare for the next expansion. Although, after going through stormblood this launch is still ok in my book.

they could have done a bit more. I cannot speak for ever server. But the log in queue usually is about 30- 60 on my server. But all of a sudden its over 5000. Spend the couple extra bucks and install a few more servers and link them up and let them help with the load.

So, would you prefer a release date of July 2023? Or the inconvenience of a bottleneck that allows you to play in December of 2021?

Would you subscribe to the game for another six months of Shadowbringers with no updates? Twelve months? Eighteen months?

Or would you demand a refund. You have until 6 December 2021 to decide about that, you know.
