I've managed to log in, so the access is there.

But my life doesn't revolve around one game - I spread my free time around freely to anything that's available. While while this game is trying to load, I'm playing something else and chillin'. It's no big deal.

Frankly, anytime you throw enough mass at a a system, it's going to break - it's inevitable, even with cutting-edge technology, we're working with software that's nearly a decade old.

Given how much this game has given me over the past few years in terms of content and good times, I can forgive a couple weeks of things being a bit rough. It won't always be like this - and we'll be back to normal soon enough.

I’m usually the one to complain and rant these days about things as a consumer. But I’ve been pretty calm about this situation.

Mostly because I read about all the other horror stories people were telling about trying to login. And I read about how COVID prevented SE from buying more servers. So I’ve just rolled with it. I got in last night eventually and was able to play all night. I’ll get in today eventually.

The one thing that’s frustrating is losing your place in the queue when kicked. Some of those things should be addressed if possible. Also, hearing SE say they weren’t prepared or were were surprised by the massive amount of people trying to login is incredibly stupid. If true. I haven’t seen them say that but some people are saying SE was saying that on Twitter.

That’s something I’m very tired of hearing from devs and media companies in 2021. Especially if you have a hyped game where EVERYONE in the industry has been talking about it for the better part of the year. You’ve gotta know what’s coming.

I can understand why people are genuinely frustrated. The majority likely have a finite amount of time on the weekend before returning to work or attending to a plethora of personal responsibilities. As a housewife with no children I don’t have to concern myself with this particular problem.

It’s hard not to sympathize at least somewhat with the people trying to play.

I don't know.. I feel like I didn't deal with this last time during ShB.. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to watch for the error screen constantly. I could do something else without having to glance constantly to see if I got kicked out and have to restart or not.
