The problem is compounding.
Because I know that I can't trust to get back in, I logged in at 8am this morning to a queue of 71 players and waited 2 minutes, and then was afraid to log out under any circumstances for the rest of the day. I didn't cheat the AFK timer. I just kept playing lol. Like, I played while I cooked, I played while I ate, I played in-between chores. I never left the game for more than a few minutes cuz I just kept coming back to play it ... to move one step further. I didn't play at full speed. I just kept playing.
Then my internet disconnected accidentally, and when I tried to log back in, 7,400 player queue ... which is a problem because it also means players will be afraid of accidental D/C's. I'm certain the queue is so long in part because people are afraid to log out. THEN, I have to babysit the thing for the periodic 2002 error, and when I get it, I immediately log back in several times until I can get back into the selection screen because I'm afraid that If I don't, I'll increase my chances of being bumped to the back of the line, which puts more strain on the system.
Then you'd say, well, just give up right? Wait till another day.But I can't do that, it's a battle of attrition at this point. SE screwed this up and that's exactly why I have to stay in the queue.
All they needed to do was to make sure people could get a place in line and be able to depend on keeping it and be protected in case of a D/C on their end for at least 5 minutes.
Everything else is great though lol
