Why?

Expert crafting is not fun. It's not difficult. It's not rewarding. It's interesting as a one-off, and had potential as an idea, but its implementation is abysmal, about as abysmal as the login queue system throwing 2002 errors every 20 minutes. Instead of making experts about knowledge, planning, and strategy, it's much more heavily reliant on RNG and time gating through long grinds.

Being required to do hundreds of these tedious time wasting un-fun, non-difficult, RNG-laden garbage things to get a cosmetic would be like being required to kill TEA 20 times to get a single weapon glam.

The reason people put them off until EW is specifically because they're not fun to do and it would take longer to finish the grind than to kill an ultimate blind. Undermining that shows a huge disconnect from Square Enix.
