Not being able to get in during a launch/early access of an expansion isn't uncommon for many MMOs.
In fact, it's to be expected.
And people still want to take out payed time off from work for this.
Which is why others tend to suggest not to take time off at launch day as it will most likely always come with it's share of hickups.

I agree to an extent. Most are saying that the que is fine, but what's not expected or welcomed is the que resetting itself. That's really the frustrating part. Though I wish I had the foresight to have made a character on a Japanese server, they have no que at the moment... /sigh

I think the queue system just died, at least for leviathan. I went from 5000 to 1 and now get a world is full error, no queue.

Same, also Leviathan. Got 2002'd out of the queue and now I can't even get back into the queue. Just 3001 "world full, try later"

I have to agree. The long que was to be expected and I don't mind waiting to get past it, but the constant errors and losing your spot in the que is frustrating. Waiting 8 hours and longer to actually be able to play the game might work on weekends, but on normal weekdays, after work, it's simply impossible.

So, I just logged into the Japanese server group and had no problem creating a new character, its like 6 am there. Suppose that's why they're not suffering with these conditions? I just came back and tried Leviathan, Lamia and Jenova servers (I have characters on those). Back to the que for early access. Not one of them are under 4k ques.

This is Raubahn savage levels of broken (at least for leviathan). With the queue system broken you can now get the loading screen of the world and THEN the 3001 world is full error. Remember the slightly longer than average black screens when trying to start the Raubahn instance?

Apparently I was just told on voice it's now primal as a whole. But I have an update, this bamboozle screen also can give you the 2002 error and close your game.

It is now error roulette.

The only upside is at least it remembers where you were in queue before 2002ing you, unlike back during the launch of freaking Stormblood.

The issue is the population is way higher at launch since now you got all the people who were not playing because of content drought stacking on top of new people. So we got a total player population that far exceeds the limits of the servers.

I mean, we're in queue at position 4000+ and it takes so long to log in it 2002 errors you out and I feel like it is doing it at the 30 minute mark.
