thought the ff community was supposed to be super inclusive. Sorry boys no new players for the next week while us vets only get to play. What a horrendous statement.
(Made an account just to blast my opinion, so, hi :^) )
I think their intention was great, but it was a lot nicer than how it sounded;
Realistically, with the amount of hardcore players that get on during things like early access, along with the damned bots at the Capitals, it's realistically nigh-impossible to get in during a full day. That isn't to say that they should restrict character creation (although they're adding game time for all players due to queue errors and restrictions), but the main problem is that the majority of vocal complaints are about queue times and login errors, so SE is doing quite literally everything possible, regardless of if it affects new players or not. Generally, the community is very inclusive, but with the queues as tight as they are already, it's often hard to pick someone else over yourself; so people stay logged on, and the vicious cycle ever continues. Once again, realistically, I don't think this is malicious, and is generally intended to be, well, fair for players.
Okay, that's the end of my dumb internet rant, have a great day everyone. :^)
Dead Man Walking
If new players cant create their first character, they need to stop selling copies of the game. Like immediately. Imagine buying the game for the first time and not being able to create your first character? No reasonable customer would ever understand that. It leaves a terrible first impression, which is a shame considering how amazing this game is.
Now us? With the queue times? thats completely different. We play the game, we were warned. I think most players going into this expected atleast some difficulties with launch.
