I have yet to have anything except an alt get put back at the end of the line if I attempt to come back in after we get the general lobby bug error. I'm usually put right back where I was last time... just as long as I log in with the same character.

That being said - I'd really appreciate it if the whole thing didn't expect a complete re-launch of the launcher every time the error occurs. That's really been the only thing making me gnash my teeth in frustration.
The Queue itself will save your position if you log back in instantly. But if you're booted from the game or it crashes, you're back to a full queue.
