Why is there not a system to hold your spot for like 5 minutes if you disconnect?

I just waited an hour and a half for a 2200 queue. Finally got in. Teleported once to Eulmore, BAM, Directx 11 error and hard crash. Log back in immediately..3800 queue. Waited another hour and a half (Thanks youtube), queue down to 1800. Random 2002 error, logged back in..4900 queue.

Seriously, I waited my time, why isn't there a system in place to help players suffering from crashes and disconnects? Just exclude inactivity disconnects from the list.

I can't say there been buggy crashes since 5.5.

Though I would agree there should be a system in place to reserve your spot for x minutes.

Yeah IDK what it is. I've been getting Fatal DirectX errors randomly since the 5.5 patch. There are a few reddit threads and pages about the issue happening to multiple people. I've updated drivers, reinstalled drivers, reinstalled directX, played in windowed mode, turned SLI off...still happens..just totally randomly. Can be in game for 2-3 hours with no issue, or crash 30 seconds in.

Yep, this is the only problem I have with this expansion launch. Everything else is expected or running incredibly well. Have had zero problems and loving this expansion, once I'm actually in the game of course.

5 minutes seems excessive at the moment given that everyone, their mothers and their mothers' pet goats are trying to log in, but I think somewhere around 2 would be reasonable enough. Short enough to not hold up the line too much, but long enough for most people to re-enter their information and log back in.

That would only work if the data center connection didn't fail at all.
