Disappointed with Viera hairstyles

Like the title states, I and some others are disappointed that the hairstyles Viera were given are really not good or seem properly fitted to their head frames.
They showed us pictures of added hairstyles- but I assumed it was a preview for more things to come, not literally "these are all you are getting." since that was never stated. But I know now, if they show you one thing- do not expect another, what you see is all you get. I thought about purchasing Fantasia but no reason to now. The hairstyles added are random, why those ones specifically when there are better ones that have been requested. like Lyse and Hilda's hairstyles.

I think it would have been received slightly better if the mog-station/paid for hairs were the first ones added in this patch, & then add the unlockable ones later.

I'm very disappointed. Out of the 6 hairstyles that were chosen, I only liked the Lightning one - the rest of them were such a random selection and I'd like to know their thought process on why those specifically? Out of all the popular and in demand hairstyles, they chose these styles that I've never even seen anyone wear, for EG: Karen and the bowl cut one.. You also barely see anyone use the ponytails.

I spent the past few weeks collecting modern aesthetics so to be honest it's my fault for assuming we were getting more than we did. I was very excited at the thought of receiving ones like Greater Lengths, Both ways and especially Form and Function.. I really hope SE at least communicates with us, I'd like to be informed if they're at least planning on giving us more or if this is it.

Viera were a mistake.

I feel like every time square does something to enhance Viera, the player base of that race is always "yeah, but".

Square created this problem on their own though. They should have just taken and tweaked an Elzen frame and had unchanging ears or ears tied to the face like Miqote it Au Ra and none of the hair or hat issues would have even happened.

I swapped characters for EW and pretty happy I did. I'm happy for male viera fans, but even on day 2 I'm already hearing discontent from some of that crowd.

atleast they add 6 hairstyle compare to zero in shb. That's a good step hope they add more tbh.

I was hoping I could use the more recent hairstyles we unlocked and the Gyr Abanian hair but no such luck. Ah wells, I'm a person that likes consistency overall so I wouldn't have different hair for long.

People ofc said "Yes, we just want Viera".
And look where we are now.
We get something and then demand more and more.

I think it has to do with our 4x4-heads. I'm happy using my Snow hair though, I was expecting that would be one that wasn't available to male Viera. I was pleasantly surprised. ^_^

That's revisionist as hell, to be honest. The reason we were willing to sacrifice was that they said Viera and Hrothgar would be given unique and exclusive releases to make up for the limitations. No one knew Hrothgar would need a fanta to change their hair or half of what we know now. I remember when we saw the original hair from the benchmark, and discussions about how few there were. We were assured there would be more throughout the expansion. We didn't even get more of these "unique and exclusive" cosmetics in the 6 new unlocks. They're hand-me-downs. The argument for "Well you already have exclusive hair" is bunk because all the races have locked styles on top of all the modern aesthetics.

The only difference now is that people, and SE, have given up on the "unique and exclusive" angle. People just want their hair back.
