This morning at 7 MST, the queue was 44. I think the best thing to do, if you can, is get on before 9 CT and keep your character active all day so you don't get logged out. Can't say I had the same luck - got kicked 3 times now, and always coming back from where I started + 500 or so (right now Im at 7300 coming from over 9k). Again, I would be fine by it if it just returned me around the same place. Your comment might be a light at the end of the tunnel though! *crossing fingers*
Obviously morning ques are smaller, but not everyone can jump on that early. I have no problem with large ques as long as i know i will eventually get in. It’s the threat of it breaking at any time that is annoying.
Oh yes, I was able to log in this morning - but then I have a family to take care of during the day, so can't stay on forever![]()
for me, every time I get kicked I retain my place in the queue. That is untill i reach first and then I get booted back to the begining......every time.
got down to 258 from a 3k que and got the 2002 Error loged back in at the back of the line again so yeah not stable
After logging off decided to come back at 4 pm been 6500 person in queue kicked me out around 3000 , cool happens . Start again 7625 in queue after hours im in . Server laggy i see . Maybe 2 minutes passed connection lost . Relog back to 7600 i mean ..... and it is 9.30 pm already what a waste of time.... ohhh well it is what it is ..... hope they will fix this soon. They knew high volume players will be joining and from Tuesday what it will be 3 times worse ?
Just dropped for the 4th time but logged back in within seconds and luckily kept my space but its still 2.8k so plenty of time for it to drop again![]()
I spent about 3 hours in queue waiting to get in and when I finally got to number 6, got hit with a 2002. Unfortunately happening a lot in my FC. What is Square doing to address this? If no action is taken soon, there is definitely a risk that a lot of WoW refugees go back to WoW.
It's just what I guess what happened on their service side.
Once the queue reaches 170000 people in the queue, it's going to kick everyone out with 2002 error and while still keep processing the queue. It's their way for keeping queue system from crashing.
at this moment, since everyone is kicked out, server will start invaliding people's spot (cuz you're not online to them).
so if you're at 256 in the queue and you cannot connect back to the queue in time before the server invalids your spot. you have to re-queue again.
but if you were at 6000 of 17000, most likely you spot will be kept and queue number will be pushed forward quite some (like 3x00).
You can say queue system is stable... it's right and wrong.
You still can access the queue system, it's stable.
but the queue system doesn't do what it supposes to do with large number of people queueing it. cuz the people spend more time waiting it get kicked out. It's broken.

Look at the bright side. We have 5 afk dancers on the steps in Ul'dah to entertain the people who do get in finally.
