"The dev team is doing the best they can" and "I hate this, it sucks" are not mutually exclusive. We have seen time and time again that SE values its playerbase. Even if you want to be completely cynical and go at it from a "business just wants to make money" standpoint, they're at least smart enough to understand the impact goodwill has on their bottom line, and want to nurture it. I see it that way myself. They understand the importance of their reputation and aren't going to do something stupid to jeopardize it, especially with Blizzard right now being a glaring example of what happens when you do.

I'm not going to tell you not to unsub, because there's no reason to keep giving them money if you can't play. But please look at SE as an ally against the problem, not the problem itself. The 2002s suck and they need to fix them. I believe that they're going to. This is an unprecedented issue, and while it hasn't been fixed, its gotten better since launch. The overpopulation itself is something that could not have been foreseen (WoW crumbling the way it did came out of nowhere) and by the time they had half a clue that the influx was coming they were left with a need to buy something that literally could not have been bought any time in the past year and a half.

Yeah, it sucks. I'm not telling you to just get over it. I'm telling you to direct your anger at the proper targets.
