My concern about the server issues

Everyone keeps saying go its launch its expected, oh its early access it's expected. But honestly when will this actually change everyone playing is subbed for the month at least so is this it for the next 30 days im, currently 7904 in the queue third attempt last time I managed to get all the way to 4000 before getting error 2002. What's gonna change in the next few days, people aren't going away

People will go away, that is what they are hoping for always. Cause people have to go back to work and stuff so it evens out again, they don't buy new hardware to support the hundreds of thousands of players who want to play now when it's just tens of thousands next month. Would just produce a huge amount of hardware that isn't necessary anymore once the hype died down.

And more expenses looks bad to the shareholders so...every MMO always goes with that practice that's why you see such rough launches basically everywhere with every expansion even if semi conductors rain from the skies.

You don't get it, it's covid once again. That's why no one in the world is getting servers and no games are being launched nor have been launched for the last 8 months. They said they would try and that's more than enough, as you can see by the smooth queues.

Since the FFIXV Dev Team, for whatever reason, won't increase the server capacity people will actually go away since it doesn't makes any sense for people paying a sub for a game they can't play. Once enough players quit the servers will stabilize.

The reason is they literally cannot.
There is a massive semiconductor shortage among other huge supply-chain and labor issues. They really just cannot get more servers.

I have no idea about the technology, so I don't know if there is even a possibility for them to go through amazon's server... thingy, that a lot of games use, but I do know they don't have a secret "make it work" button they're not using.

So you are saying that no company anywhere on the globe has managed to acquire servers in the last 18 months. Like there aren't even any to rent?

Or maybe its just that Squeenix are to cheap to pay the inflated costs of the shortage

You're right, the only thing that can change this is people getting tired of it and abandon the game, exactly like what happened to another certain MMO but for different reasons.

But the way this (the server congestion) and other things (like the Mac version of Final Fantasy XIV) been handled in particularly EU the past year, I think is beyond tragic. Personally I accepted the apologies this spring when the same thing happened but nothing happened at all in about 8 months this weekend so far I've been in queue for 5 hours and not even been able to login, I feel especially disappointed as I bought this game 3 times now- for Mac, Windows and Playstation; but on the same page this was probably the last time in my life that Square Enix ever saw any business from me.

This is something that needed addresses before covid.

there are companies way bigger than square who buy all the stuff. they are able to pay more and they get preferred since they buy more. less to buy means also that more people will rent servers which means the price raises there too. its not as easy as some of ypu might think it is.

they had said earlier that they were unable to source the required hardware for their servers even "above market value"

its not that they are too cheap. I gather from what they have said that they require/want a certain type of server hardware to ensure what they figure is adequate performance.

If you require that exact release it should be on the lodestone from mid summer I believe.
