This week I have to admit I am extremely annoyed. I would describe myself as a loyal player for two reasons, I have subscribed to the game continuously since it’s release on the PS3 all the way through to now, playing on the PS5. I paid for early access, and I have spent more time in a Queue than I have playing the game, not only because of long wait times but as of about 10 minutes ago I had queued for over 2 hours from 3600+ and reached 19 in said line. The lobby then encountered an error to be booted back to over 6800+ in another queue. So that’s at least another 3 hours+ of queue time.
Secondly having paid a subscription continually for over 8 years now it’s about time you did something for loyal players, to be quite frank I am sick of seeing “returning player” offers and free time or free items etc for returning players. What about those who have played continuously, do you not think it’s about time those players received a free month subscription, a special item/mount or something. To be quite frank I’m going to be seeking a refund for “endwalker” early access as I have only payed for access to a character selection screen and a long wait and errors. Maybe early access should be offered to those who have continuously payed subscription rather than those that just return to play a bit of new content for a month or so before ending their subscription again.
Lastly actually trying to contact SE/FF14 customer support for any kind of assistance or complaint is ridiculous, it either needs to be done in game, on thos forum or in less than 40 characters which actually doesn’t contact anyone but reverts you to FAQ.
I think you need to re-evaluate some priorities so fans can contact you about issues and suggestions.

I wish they would do something, perhaps something like a silly I survived the queue minion or something similar that lightens the mood.

I'm still new but joined a few months ago to work and prepare for Endwalkers release. I love FF but right now the game is basically unplayable unless by shear luck I log in during off hours. The queuing would be fine if not for the consistent 2002 disconnection error. I do not mind putting myself in a queue and waiting my turn and come back at whatever time... but the queue does not work and that is what makes it so frustrating. I never would have purchased early access had I known it would be this bad.

Agreed, and that’s why I want a refund, again today I was in another Queue of 3000+ and just been booted by the lobby server error (been in the cue for 2 hours already and had only gotten down too 2100, after lobby server error im now at 5641 in the queue

I'm 100% with you on this.

I have been playing since 2.0s Beta. The only "Loyalty" I see to this game's veteran players is only for those who played 1.0. So the Legacy Tattoo and the Ozzy glasses.

Well how about this as a proposal... priority login for those who have been playing for over 5 years.

I'm very happy for Square to see the massive success that this game has achieved. However I do not want to sit in 6k queues when 90% of that is all bandwagon players because their previous MMO of choice is garbage. Also... how many of those logged in are bots? RMT is still a very real thing.

My suggestion would be to make 2 queues. Priority and Standard. Not looking for something unfair that allows all the Priority to login before a single standard... no, just interchange the access. Pull from Priority for 1 queue, pull from Standard for the next, back to Priority, and so forth.

That way those who have been loyal have an ability to enjoy what they have invested YEARS of time into.

I have grown up WITH this game. And I've realized that as I've enjoyed this incredible story when I get to play. Which usually requires me logging in at 4am or earlier. But that aside, I would really like to see some sort of reward to those who have been loyal to this game. This isn't just a money investment. I've invested years of my life to this game. My time. Lots of time. You can make money in thise world... but you cannot make TIME. Time is the valuable currency we don't get back in this life.

I'd also like to see some kind of in game item for those of us who been playing since ARR, at this point even the people who started in HW are long time vets that could get an item.

Thing is though is if you're brand new or been playing for years your money is all the same. This is a server issue that should have been addressed back in 2019. I started Oct 2018 on cactaur which was already near capacity. Over the years I've basically always seen at least 35 to 50 in queue at peak times etc so this was a problem imo before the announcement of ew. Shb was purchased waaaay more then the other 2 games as well indicating a steady rise in popularity. I've had to make stupid sacrifices to play this xpac and my worry is this problem will continue for a long time especially with Xmas holidays in a couple weeks.

Agreed with everything you said, money is the same regardless of when you joined however in comparison my 8 years of full subscription adds up to an awful lot of money compared to casual on off subscribers whenever there is an expansion or new players, it’s the money of long terms vets they’ve been able to invest into creating and evolving the game into what it is as a whole and yet only new and on/off players see the benefit in terms of free play time, extras, items. To put it bluntly they may aswell say to someone like me “don’t play/pay for a few months and then return” then we will give you something” which is crazy.
