All you complainers pay or paid for a service that is not guaranteed to be available at any given moment. Like, duh. It's part and parcel of playing an online game.

So cancel your subs or stomp your feet, toss your toys out of the pram; that's totally your prerogative. If you want to cut off your nose to spite your face, have at it.

But, don't act like you didn't know, couldn't have found out, expected X to be available at Y time, etc. If you're ignorant of how this stuff works, that's on you. The information is out there.

Online games don't work like that. Learn this mantra going forward. Online... games... don't... work... like... that. Online games may or may not be available at any given time. Online games may be down for extended periods. Online games during xpac launches will be subject to queues, long queues, really long queues, disconnects, bugs, etc., etc.

That's reality. If you're frustrated it's only because you've created a narrative in your head about FFXIV being available 24/7 bug free with short queues and no disconnects. And if you think you should have any of the preceding, you're mistaken. See the above paragraph and ANY terms of service for ANY online game.

okay apologist, kissing ass won't make a better project. Honest criticism does and yes it is bullshit they didn't prepare better. They pulled the release date back and it still wasn't ready. It looked like more time went into server error codes over the actual servers which they have done maintenance for multiple times. I don't expect bug free, i expect to be able to use the product i paid for and pay monthly for. That is what the sub is for, for smoother servers and a less buggy experience over free to play. If this continues, they better start refunding subs as an apology to the player base. I agree that free to play should be disabled during this time to deal with congestion until it is stable

Like I'm just giving the FFXIV team feedback that the current state of logging in feels bad and here you are throwing a fit about how everyone is a delusional snowflake for wanting to play a game that they pay for, which is a perfectly reasonable thing to want.
