Male Viera Naming Conventions

I really don't think it's unreasonable to be impatient anymore... It's about to be a full month since EW's launch of just radio silence. There's no precedent for naming conventions being treated this way.

Did they forget? Are we actually going to get these explained? Again, any official acknowledgement would be great so it feels less like we're talking into a void.

I'll gladly keep bumping, but this has been really disappointing.

I didn't see anything in the Japanese Lore forum, so I went ahead and made a thread there. Maybe they already said something in Japan and I missed it...

Yes, I'm surprised it's been over a month and still nothing. Au ra naming conventions took a while to come out iirc, but those were insanely long. Male viera name lore is probably not that in depth...

Au Ra conventions were actually posted a couple of days before HW early access. Female Viera & Male Hrothgar names were posted about 20 days after SHB's official launch, but they posted an official notice in the community thread asking about their conventions that they would be late. Checking the sticky threads can confirm these dates.

Unfortunately this is also part of why the lack of update has been confusing and concerning...

Seeing from the perspective of someone who does RP or just has an headcannon, the naming conventions are important to set up the backstory before leaving their territory/village/etc as they might show their way of living. However, afaik, Matsuno has a final say on Viera lore, both male and female, so unless he isn't busy with something regarding his work it might take a bit of time for the naming convention to be released.

I hope this is the reason. I'm not sure why else it would take so long, especially since they must "know" most of the conventions, based on the fact they have names in the generator at all. I don't mind waiting, but I wish they would at least tell us there's a delay.
