Male Viera Naming Conventions

Before anybody leaps in with "but viera generally discard their names" yes, I get it, but I still think mine would have adapted his new name to the rules of what he came from.

I've not found ANY pattern for the female names, but male surnames followed a very clear pattern between the tribes

"Djt-Something" or "Rehw-Something" for Rava Males
"Somethingwesfv" is for the Veena Males.

I'm curious if anybody has any clues as to what these naming conventions are because the forum thread hasn't been updated. I'd love to know what the significance is.

I wonder if they might be related the range names they oversee, or maybe it could be a 'I have taught other males/haven't taught other males' situation for the Rava?

I just hope they give us a PROPER name update and not just let it languish. Anybody know how long it usually takes for them to update such things?

The released the female viera naming conventions on shb launch day.
So we might have to wait until tuesday. :T

Considering male and female viera look the exact same before puberty, they may have the same names as well. Unless they decide to take a more masculine name afterwards, but I don't believe they have a sense of masculine vs feminine to begin with.

They have distinct lists, separate from the females, indicating that they may take a name after their "coming of age"

It would be nice if they will update the Viera naming convention soon. I'd love to learn about the lore behind male viera's name.

I did actually notice that a very scant few of the male names are shared with the female list, (Shara, Bjel, Ljot, others?) so it seems like there's an option to keep their birth names as well. It looks like the distribution of forest vs city names in the generator is roughly the same as the female list, and a lot of the city names seem to have an Elezen influence. Much to think about...

I know there's a ton going on behind the scenes but I would love an update on this, so ready for some clarification on the male namegen names.
