    this game should have migrated to a cloud platform years ago

    stop defending square and theyr god forsaken datacenter in the middle of nowhere, they just went there so more subscription money could to to their wallets, if the game was running on a decent cloud platform like aws or azure this would have never happened

    I haven't had any issues until today. so... Maybe its just the giant influx of people when they cant get new hardware?

    yeah, um no. cloud might be the future but it simply isn't ready unless you have a really good internet connection. at least now gamers can still play this game with a so-so internet connection. you might believe this is a solution and in the future it might be but it isn't right now.

    But you can only have so much server space in a data center.
    by Friday next week queues will be done to sub 100.

    Commendations.
    If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
    If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
    If I play healer I only give it out to tank.

    Only if they should be getting a commendation.
    There are always exceptions to the rules!

    It is in the 'cloud'. The 'cloud' is just someone else's pc.

    As for AWS/Azure/gCloud systems, they crash all the time. I work with them daily as a System/Network admin. They are buggy AF. If it isnt outright crashes, its wildly inconsistent latency issues.
