Fantasia!

I am unable to use my fantasia and I do get that everyone is logging in but am I going to lose my fantasia when this is all done? I used it but I am unable to click "re-edit character" and everything has ??? on it.

The problem arises from too many people trying to log on. You can only edit your character when your character model/data load on the character select screen. If it's not there you can't fantasia. I'm in a similar situation right now with my name change, except you can not even log in until you name change so I've been sitting for 8 hours waiting on my character data to load.

I noticed that not being able to load in your character model was tied to if the server allowed the creation of new characters or not. My character wouldn't load on my main server so I went to an EU server that did allow the creation of new characters and I noticed that the character model DID load in. However, now that all EU servers don't allow the creation of new characters, the model now does not load.

I don't think one causes the other but right now I'm very disappointed that I can't fantasia into a bun boy and I don't think we'll be able to do so anytime soon.

You won't lose your fantasia. The fantasia will only be consumed once you actually edit your character's appearance and confirm it. Otherwise you can continue to log in without editing your character until SE fixes the problem or the current problem solves itself which seems to be the direction SE is taking.
